In June 2004, members of the Henderson Community Theatre participated in the Henderson Street Strut, part of the W. B. Handy Blues Festival. Not only did they win first prize for best group, but Angelica Skaggs was named best adult strutter and Steve McCarty was named Grand-Oop-Pee-Doo--guaranteeing that HCT will participate again next year!
