A+ Certificate & IT Fundamentals Certificate
A+ Certificate
The A+ Certificate is designed for individuals already in the workforce who wish to receive specific training in building computers and troubleshooting computer problems. The courses within the certificate program will assist those already in the workforce to advance to positions dealing with computer repair. At the completion of the coursework, the student will have obtained the skills necessary to take the A+ Certification Exam. The certificate program is designed to allow students to continue toward completion of the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Information Technology.
IT Fundamentals Certificate
The IT Fundamentals Certificate is designed for people already in the workforce who wish to receive additional training in the fundamentals of information technology. The IT Fundamentals Certificate program offers students a wide variety of instruction such as Hardware and Software Maintenance, Database Design, and Computer Applications. The Information Technology Certificate is designed to allow students to continue toward completion of the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Information Technology.
Network Administration Option/Certificate - Cisco Track
The Information Technology Program is designed to prepare individuals for entry-level positions in the area of Network Administration. The individuals learn problem solving and communication skills necessary within the complex industry of Information Technology. General education courses include writing, communication, and math skills necessary in any industry. Technical courses include the skills necessary to manage local area networks using Cisco networking equipment. Hands-on training will provide the skills necessary to develop wiring schemes, router configuration, and network troubleshooting. Graduates of the program will be qualified to take industry-recognized certification examinations leading to the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
Certificate
The Network Administration Certificate is designed to include individuals already in the workforce who wish to receive specific training in CISCO Networking. The courses within the certificate program assist persons in advancement to positions dealing with the administration of a local area network. Hands-on training provides the skills necessary to develop wiring schemes, router configuration, and network troubleshooting. At the completion of the training, the graduate will have obtained the skills necessary to take the industry-recognized certification leading to the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). This program is designed to allow students to continue toward completion of the Associate of Applied Science degree.
Network Administration Option/Certificate - Windows 2000 Track
The Network Administration Windows 2000 Option is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the area of network administration. Students will receive the skills necessary to problem solve and communicate within the complex industry of Information Technology. General Education classes include writing, communication, and math skills necessary in any industry. Technical courses include the skills necessary to run and operate local area networks using Windows 2000 as the primary operating system. Graduates will be qualified to take the industry-recognized Microsoft exams leading to Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE) Certification.
Certificate
The Microsoft Windows 2000 Certificate is designed for individuals already in the workforce who wish to receive specific training in Microsoft Windows 2000. The courses within the certificates will assist employees who wish to prepare for positions dealing with the administration of a local area windows network. At the completion of the training, the student will have the skills necessary to take the Microsoft exams leading to Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE) Certification. This program is designed to allow students to continue toward completion of the Associate of Applied Science Degree.

The Programming Option is designed to prepare its graduates for entry-level positions as computer programmers. Students develop the skills necessary to problem solve and communicate within the complex industry of Information Technology. General education courses include writing, communication, and math skills necessary in any industry. Technical courses include the skills necessary to support and troubleshoot computer programs.

The Programming Certificate is geared toward people already in the workforce who wish to receive specific training in Computer Programming. The courses within the Certificate program will assist in the advancement as a programmer. This certificate is designed to allow students to continue toward completion of the Associate of Applied Science Degree.
Database Administration Option/Certificate Oracle Track
This program is intended for students wishing to acquire technical skills in Oracle Database Administration. The course of study includes a foundation in business information systems, database theory and design, a procedural programming language, and a database language. A capstone course utilizes a special project encompassing all of the areas suitable for job experience and a job portfolio. Employment opportunities include entry-level positions to develop, implement, manage and maintain database systems. Upon completion of this program, the graduate will be qualified to pursue professional certification in Oracle.
Certificate
The Oracle Certificate is designed for individuals already in the workforce who wish to receive specific training in database administration using Oracle. The courses within the certificate program help employees advance their careers. At the completion of the training, the student will have obtained the skills necessary to take the exams for professional certification. This program is designed to allow the student to continue toward completion of the Associate of Applied Science Degree.
Information Systems Support Option/Certificate

This program is designed to prepare individuals for careers as webpage designers, webmasters, or website managers of a webbased business. The individuals will receive the skills necessary to problem solve and to communicate within the complex industry of Information Technology. Core courses include writing, communication, and math skills necessary in any industry to operate a small to medium web-based business. A capstone class in website implementation will encompass all facets of the program of study and will provide experience and a job portfolio.
Certificate
The Electronic Commerce Certificate is geared toward individuals already in the workforce who wish to receive specific training in running a webbased business. The courses within the Certificate program will assist employees to advance to positions dealing with the administration of a website that encompasses retailing over the Internet. At the completion of the training, the student will have obtained the necessary skills to design web pages, create graphics and multimedia for that site, and be familiar with marketing and business policies and procedures. This program is designed to allow students to continue toward the completion of the Associate of Applied Science degree.
