Human Services
Human Services prepares individuals for a variety of positions in agencies and institutions which provide social, community, educational, and mental health services. The curriculum consists of a core of courses in the social behavior sciences, communications, and human services.
Along with these courses, options are provided so a student may specialize in a specific area of interest. Various community agencies are used for laboratory experiences.
The graduate, depending upon the area of specialization, is prepared to seek employment in a number of positions in public and private social service agencies. These include child care agencies, family service agencies, mental and retardation hospitals, mental health centers, public welfare departments, drug and alcohol agencies, and rehabilitation agencies.
