Frankenstein Radio Play Auditions Set

Henderson Community Theatre will conduct open auditions for its fall production, Frankenstein: the Radio Play, at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, and Thursday, September 4, at the Henderson Fine Arts Center.

This radio drama, directed by Sharon Burton, is set in a 1930s radio studio. Actors will be challenged to create the appearance of radio performers while creating multiple other characters vocally. Auditions will focus on finding distinctive voices for one or more characters. Because the play is a radio drama, performers will carry scripts and have limited memorization. Cast members are needed to create sound effects on stage, a major contribution to any radio drama.

Those auditioning are welcome to attend auditions both nights, but only once is necessary. The cast will rehearse on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with performances at the Henderson Fine Arts Center on October 24 and 25. For additional information, contact Sharon Burton at 270-831-9646.
